The typical relationship between employees and their employers is an exchange of skills and experience for money. We change this relationship to one that is primarily an expression of shared purpose. This creates a powerful, resilient community that faces adversity in a way that is almost unbeatable - the team created can handle anything that is thrown at it.
We engaged the board, employees and members in defining who they were as a community and concisely captured it in terms of Purpose and Values. We then managed the entire organisation as an expression of this, rather than have them be an abstract enabler of financial success. Armed and guided with this renewed sense of community, the charity has faced the fiercest challenges and has come through each impressively.
